Mark Warren Jacques works with acrylic paint and ink on paper and creates works with a love of detail and a sense of spiritual references, without losing sight of reality. His roots lie in street art – he lives in a collective of artists and musicians and backyard rebels, and gets much inspiration from the community.

The triangle in “How to nurture your own well-being“ symbolises man and the circle, the extent of human thoughts. It stands for the striving from the basis of this breadth of thought up to the peak, to the awareness, the eye. This is where power accumulates. Mark Warren Jacques normally draws with the focus on this point at which the perception of the environment is internalised: the point of “well being“.

Mark Warren Jacques was born in 1984 and refers to himself as an artist and “optimistic amateur philosopher“. He studied at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Ohio and lives, loves and works between Portland, Oregon and San Francisco, California. His works have been shown in numerous magazines and exhibitions.
